Lorenzo Cason, a three-star guard for 2024 who hails from Lakeland, Florida, committed to Dusty May and Florida Atlantic back in August of 2023. After May left, Cason decided to follow May and pledge to the Wolverines. He then reopened his recruitment and made visits to Florida and Michigan.
During the last four days, he has made eight commitments for May since announcing his decision on Tuesday morning.
Cason, a 6-foot-2 guard weighing 195 pounds, is a strong, athletic player perfect for the Big Ten. He is a lead guard who ranks in the 90th percentile of all high school players in transition. He thrives in transition as a playmaker for his teammates and as a scorer at the rim. Despite not being a strong athlete above the hoop, he can finish through contact at the rim because to his cunning and powerful lower body. Cason is regarded as a combo guard who can play at all three conventional backcourt positions. He is also skilled at catch and shoot and off-dribble threes.

Cason discussed his pledge and what to anticipate from him as a Wolverine with me when we spoke at The Michigan Insider.
“I committed to Michigan because (Coach May) believed in me enough to bring me with him from FAU to Michigan,” Cason stated.
