American football quarterback Jacob Christopher Browning (born April 11, 1996) plays quarterback for the National Football League (NFL) Cincinnati Bengals. In 2019, he signed as an undrafted free agent with the Minnesota Vikings after playing college football for the Washington Huskies.

In 46 games, Browning completed 1,191 of 1,708 attempts for 16,775 yards and 229 touchdowns, all California records; the 229 touchdowns also broke the national record held by Maty Mauk.[1] As a senior, he threw for a national-record 91 touchdown passes. He also passed for a California record of 5,790 yards, which broke his record from his junior year. Browning was the Gatorade Football Player of the Year in both his junior and senior years. Browning attended Folsom High School in Folsom, California.

Following a semester of non-football attendance at McLennan Community College, Stidham declared his intention to transfer to Auburn University. On December 10, 2016, he announced it on his Twitter account.[15] Stidham was announced as Auburn’s starting quarterback for the 2017 season on August 14.[16] After the Tigers defeated top-ranked Georgia and Alabama, Stidham guided them to an SEC West Division Championship.[17] Later on, he would lose in the Peach Bowl versus UCF.[18] Stidham declared for the 2019 NFL draft on December 4, 2018, skipping his last year of eligibility.

Browning was the third-best pro-style recruit in his class and a four-star prospect according to Rivals.com.[4] He pledged to play collegiate football at the University of Washington.[5] As a direct admit into the Foster School of Business’s Business Administration department during his first year, Browning attended the university.
