Known by his moniker “the Big Bear,” Marcell Ozuna Idelfonso is a Major League Baseball outfielder from the Dominican Republic who plays for the Atlanta Braves. He was formerly a player with the St. Louis Cardinals and Miami Marlins in Major League Baseball. 2013 saw him play in Major League Baseball for the Marlins.

In 2008, Ozuna signed a free agency amateur contract with the Marlins. In 2017, he achieved his breakthrough season and was named a Gold Glove and Silver Slugger Award winner. He is a two-time MLB All-Star (2016, 2017). He placed third in runs batted in (124) and home runs (37), and he also ended fourth in the National League (NL) in terms of batting average (.312). Ozuna was dealt by the Marlins to the St. Louis Cardinals after the 2017 season. He was the NL leader in RBIs and home runs in 2020.

Ozuna joined the Class A South Atlantic League’s Greensboro Grasshoppers in 2010 but was forced to miss six games due to a wrist injury. With Short Season Jamestown, he made a comeback in June and completed the season there.[5] He hit.258 with 22 home runs and 62 RBIs in 74 games overall. Ozuna played 131 games with Greensboro in 2011, hitting.266 with 23 home runs, 71 RBIs, and 17 stolen bases.
